Kyoto University of Advanced Science formerly Kyoto Gakuen University, is a private university located in Ukyō-ku, Kyoto, Japan. Originally founded as a trade school in 1925 and incorporated in 1969, KUAS was refounded in 2019 under the leadership of Shigenobu Nagamori. Its two campuses are located in Ukyō-ku, Kyoto City, and Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture.
The university is organized into five faculties and five graduate schools. The undergraduate faculties include the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Bioenvironmental Science, the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, and the Faculty of Engineering. The graduate schools include the Graduate School of Economics, the Graduate School of Business Administration, the Graduate School of Human Culture, the Graduate School of Bioenvironmental Science, and the Graduate School of Engineering.
In 2020, the university's Faculty of Engineering began to offer programs taught entirely in English, signaling a shift towards internationalization and English-medium education.

From Kyoto Station to Uzumasa Campus

Route 1: Take the Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line, transfer to the Tozai Line at Karasuma Oike Station, and get off at Uzumasa Tenjingawa Station. It takes approximately 20 minutes, and the fare is 260 JPY (as of 2023).

Route 2: Take the JR Sagano Line, transfer to the Kyoto Municipal Subway Tozai Line at Nijo Station, and get off at Uzumasa Tenjingawa Station. It takes approximately 15 minutes, and the fare is 410 JPY (as of 2023).
Uzumasa Campus is located right next to Uzumasa Tenjingawa Station.

Uzumasa Tenjingawa Station is the most convenient station for access to Uzumasa Campus. Other stations such as Randen Tenjingawa Station and Kyoto City bus stops are also located near campus, making it convenient for students to commute to school no matter where they live in Kyoto City.
Please note that there are no car parking lots at Uzumasa Campus. We ask that students commute by public transportation or bicycle.
